Project Description

Intermountain Healthcare is the largest non-profit healthcare system in the Intermountain West. They have hospitals and healthcare clinics in Utah & Idaho. It’s also one of Utah’s largest employers with over 37,000 employees with 22 different hospitals with nearly 3,000 licensed beds.

The new two-story McKay-Dee Ambulatory Surgery Center is 77,000 sq. ft., and is located on the North Ogden Campus of the McKay-Dee Hospital. The estimated cost of construction was $28 million. The facility includes three main functions:

  • Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic
  • Surgery Center
  • Physical Therapy & Sports Outreach

The medical center will serve much of the athletic community in northern Utah including the Ogden marathon runners, Weber State University athletes and many other local high school and middle school athletes.

Systems commissioned:

  • HVAC and plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Fire protection/suppression and alarm
  • Building control
  • Security systems
